#185 Placing graphic on drawing background causes overlaid drawing elements to disappear on mouse-over

Steps to reproduce:
Copy graphic image/screen capture, paste into drawing.

Resize for correct proportion.

Place drawing elements in front of graphic (using Z-order context menu to send graphic to back).

Filled drawing elements seem to be ok, as is text.

Place polygon shapes on top of graphic. When done editing, it is impossible to select the polygon elements without dragging the graphic out of the way. On mouse-over all drawing elements disappear.

This seems to be a use for layers.
Put your graphic on one layer and dsable the layer (still visible but only as a background).
How many layers to provide and their Z-order when disabled or enabled to be determined?
Would you want a foreground layer disabled?

TinyCAD has layers?!? Or are you talking about a new feature?

Adding layers that can be enabled/disabled would be awesome!

Here's an idea: add an option to allow adjacent sheets to become
transparent and display over/under one another. Easy way to add "layers".

The only difficulty there would be rearranging the sheets/layers, and
indicating which parts of the drawing belong to which sheet/layer.

Instead of making a sheet transparent, add "insert layer" to the "insert
sheet" context menu. Layers to the right of a sheet would always show
through the nearest sheet to the left.

I don't know what that would take to code, but its a nice sounding plan
to me!

No. TinyCAD does not currently have layers.
I was referring to 'Feature requests #127 Layers'
and waiting hopefully.

bump - is it possible to address this bug? Getting it fixed would make it much easier to annotate architectural drawings with wiring etc, for example.
