When using TinyCad on 64-bit Windows the "Save As" will always throw the "Encountered an improper argument" error.
Fixing this would be very convenient.
This may (or may not) be relevant but I have always had my libraries and file locations on the C: drive in a dedicated folder - not controlled by Windows in its 'User' areas (From WinXP days). I currently use W7 Pro 64bit on all machines and have not suffered from this issue at least up to 2.80.05 build 619. There may have been somthing initially but soon went away after pointing it to my locations reather than the defaults. When I tried W8 I did have issues but stopped using W8 as I didn't like it.
The program is installed in the Program Files(x86) but the data and libraries are in uncontrolled locations (in C:\PCB\schematics and C:\PCB\TCLibs).
Just tried build 626 and no problem with 'save as'.

I have read all the threads regarding this bug over the years hoping that a solution was near but alas zip nada nothing. Although I read some comments from Don Lucas intimating that 2.80.08 release fixed it but I cant find that release anywhere.
UPDATE!!!
I contacted Don Lucas and he supplied an apha 2.8.08 release that fixes the problem. If u want a copy u can email me with an external address as I cant attach items using source-forge messaging

Would be really nice if something as stupid like this could be solved.
Other than that I just love TinyCAD. Easy, intuitive etc...

TC v2.80.06 #626 is working fine for me on Win7 Pro 64bit. I installed
it in "Program Files x86" (default) and then removed all the libraries
from the Libraries tool, copied them to My Documents\TCLib, then added
them back in with the Library tool. Tedious, but its been working fine
for a couple of years.

My problem is still the same even if I place files and libraries in
other locations.
I simply copy paste an existing TinyCAD file, rename and then remove
all content and start my new drawing.
That is a stupid work around for a problem which should not exist.

I have the same issue, build 626 win8.1 Pro 64bit. Was a clean install today. I'm a new user so I can't create or save anything using previously mentioned workarounds! Works fine on my win7 laptop.
