I have trouble with starting R from within Tinn-R.
I have an Asus Notebook (A8Js) which is equipped with a so called Wireless Console. This is an application for letting me via buttons switch of bluetooth and wlan. (Wireless Console 2).
When on Windows XP when I started Tinn-R the wireless console was showing up together with Tinn-R. The R menu showed only close preferred Rgui. When I did this it shut down the wireless console and doing start preferred Rgui started R. (The wireless console of course was still shut down).
Now I am on Vista and the Wireless Console 2 is completely blocking the menu point close preferred Rgui. So I have to kill the wireless console via task manager and afterwards I am able to start R via the menu entry "start preferred Rgui".
This is a bit annoying so I would be happy if there is a work around?!

Have you tried starting R manually?

When I start R first in --sdi mode and start then Tinn-R it works. But it would be of course more nice if the start/close preferred Rgui option would work... But probably this is more a wlan utility problem... Asus support is really bad...

This also happens with YME and trillian. See bug https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1851397&group_id=144024&atid=757424 . There's something funny going on here.
