Timid Touch is a touchscreen calibrator and an input daemon for Linux distributions with the X Window System on board. It bypasses xinput/libinput entirely, reads device events directly and sends adjusted coordinates to X11.

Timid Touch aims to replace [xinput_calibrator], which no longer works (since [libinput] broke everything) and allows to calibrate multiple monitors with touch panels easily.

Features

  • Not a slopware. 100% handcrafted. No AI garbage.
  • Free of Rust and Python cancer. Written in old reliable C/Java instead.
  • Does not target G@yl@nd... correction, Wayland. Long live X!!
