tile edit really really needs and eyedropper/colour
sampler tool. great app that would rule with an
eyedropper.

Just use the right mouse button to pick up a color.

this is already implemented. click in the picture with the right mouse button when the the current color is not the transparent color

The right mouse button works as eyedropper.
