#149 Fixed various spellchecker bugs

I am submitting this patch in reference to bug #782613

This patch is against 1.8.4 and fixes the following
spellchecker problems:

- Does not spellcheck the first/last word of the string.
- Does not spellcheck words that have an attached
punctuation.
- Incorrectly marks capitalized words as misspelled.

I've also rolled in some fixes from the latest CVS that
were made after 1.8.4.
