Hi, today I tested Tiki on a new machine with a fresh install of Debian testing and found the installer wouldn't upgrade or install Tiki. Instead, I got an empty file or a 500 error, with any Tiki version. The Apache error log revealed there was a child (PHP) segfault. I asked on IRC and Sylvie said she had the same issue on Fedora. Another confirmation of the problem came from RavenC, who experienced the problem on Windows. I tried upgrading my previous install to 5.3.2 and could confirm that upgrading to 5.3.2 (from 5.3.1) causes the problem. We don't really know what the bug is. I asked ##php if there was a list of regressions and didn't get a reply. I also asked how to debug a PHP segfault and got nothing more. So I decided to downgrade to 5.3.1, which fixes the problem. I intend to wait PHP 5.3.3 and retest before investigating this issue in more depth. Thanks to Sylvie and RavenC |
