Hi Michael, I'm not sure why a shell script is the correct solution to what seems like a single-sign-on problem. What technology is the system that is used to access the database in? The auth integrations I have done before have used either (1) PHP scripts or (2) CAS. I'm also curious exactly what "Tiki variables" you need the database application to be aware of.
