I just tested upgrading from 1.7rc4 to the tarball (seems to be dated 09:03 31/7/03) and it was mostly OK. With the old script I used to have the problem with it not recognising my admin password, but that seems fine (thanks!). The only problem I had was that requesting a DB update from 16. -> 1.7 gave me a blank page (i.e. "<html><body></body></html>"). I just reloaded and clicked "Do nothing and enter Tiki" and it was fine.
