No

If the %F command is used in an away message, when the away message is appended to your buddy info, the %F command shows up as the actual command (/usr/bin/fortune, etc.) and not the output from executing the command.

I realize that what is appended to the buddy info would not change each time it is accessed, but an outdated %F command is better than nothing. It would be best if the away message was updated every hour or so with new output from the %F command.

After some testing:
%n and %t are the only two % commands that do work when placed in buddy info. All the others show up as %e or %N or whatever, except for the %F command, which shows the actual command.

I guess this is kind of a half bug/half feature request. Or maybe 1/4 bug and 3/4 feature request.

Oh yeah, I tested this with Tik 0.90Pre84 and 0.90Pre80.

There's not much we can do about some of the % options, because they can depend on data that's not available to buddy info. I'll look into some possible place holders for those situations, but there's not much else we can do.

The %F command is a little tricky because it can use dynamic command-line arguments (if I remember correctly) such as the screenname of the individual IM'ing you. This makes it hard to just update the buddy info with a generic run of the %F command.

I'll take a closer look tonight if I have time.
