Ticket i18n clean-up:
- found an old patch from Jan Hadas, which pointed to a few locations which
were still lacking i18n support
- consistently use `"..."` for message strings (`'...'` reserved for
string constants); this in turn lead to some more locations in need for i18n
- i18n support for RSS feed (partial)
