Hi All, I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and explain some of the work I am going to be attempting over the coming weeks on JSR-310 and the TCK implementation. I also wanted to clarify what effort was going on in this space so far. I am a senior Java Developer at a large financial institution working in London, I've been working in Java for 10 years though recently spend most of my spare time working in Objective C. I also work closely with the London Java Community and as part of our adopt a JSR program [1] I have chosen to help promote ThreeTen and JSR-310 to our community. Over the last month I have given several talks and produced blog posts on the current efforts on JSR-310 and ThreeTen [2]. In the next few weeks I am planning to begin dissecting the Early Draft Review to formulate a TCK project plan to help map out a path for a successful TCK implementation. The current plan is to do this independently of ThreeTen to ensure the TCK is thought of in isolation to ensure the correct conformance and that the implementation detail is not detailed with regards to the specification. Following that I think the most important strategy will be to reuse as much of the hard work that you guys have done already in writing tests to fulfill the TCK requirements. I have written a blog post that outlines my initial thoughts on why a TCK is important [3]. My aim is that once we have a good TCK project plan in place (to be reviewed closely with the community here) I will be able to help with a small team from the London Java Community and beyond to assist with finishing the TCK in parallel to the efforts on ThreeTen. I don't want to step on anyone's toes here so it would be good to know if there is any existing effort in this space? What do people think of the above as an approach?
