But it won't be too hard to write converters for various files like .3ds or blender ... There is a .3ds->OpenGL_C-Code converter existing, and IMHO we could replace ->OpenGL_C-Code by ->DCODE quite easily. So you _will_ be able to do some modelling in Blender or 3D-Studio or whatever and convert it.
