The installer likely needs to be updated to support nvme drives. I think they are just ignored right now. The reason that /lib is not a mountpoint, is because you have a volume id mismatch. You need an MOUNT definition for whatever media to be mounted at /lib See this page https://github.com/Thinstation/thinstation/wiki/Making-bootable-media-on-Windows On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, 09:52:04 PM PST, LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR <luc...@gm...> wrote: Hi there, I'm fairly new to linux and still learning. I get the error: "/lib is not a mount point Fastboot was enbled, but something went wrong with the transfer or mount Dropping to shell" I then tried to install the DevStation directly on the thin client in order to see if I can found the problem there. But then I get the error: "No usable disk! The DevStation environment requires a disk at least of 30 GB in size." With "Gparted" I created a partition with 40 GB. Sometimes with ext4, sometimes with ntfs or fat32. Always the same message. In Gparted the hard drive is shown as /dev/nvme0n1 and the partition as /dev/nvme0n1p1 It would be obvious that it doesn't recognize the controller for the hard disk, but then Gparted wouldn't be able to display it either? What went wrong? Would be very grateful for help Thanks! Hi, With Covid, some collegues need to use visioconference on our rdp servers. I found the way to get headphones plugged in jack socket working (rdp options), but I can't get it working with usb ones. USB is already redirected for usb storage devices, of course. Does anyone know a way I could make it work ? Thanks Regards E.T. Eric Trezel ----------- Technicien de maintenance informatique Direction du Système d'Information Université de Limoges 123 Av. Hello, After my last message I have found that my build environment was not set up properly. Re-installed the build environment and all problems are gone, thinstation is working as expected. Sorry for the inconvenience. Aydin |

Hi, Thank you Don for pointing me to the video. I have made some progress, read information that I can find. Still having some problems, I must be doing basic/stupid mistake. I am trying to boot DELL/Wyse 5070 Thinclient from PXE. LTSP is set up. Serving the necessary files including vmlinuz and initrd. After initrd is sent DELL logo is displayed on the client for a second followed by; Error, no valid session type Boot aborted, please check your thinstation config files are correct The image that I built is for "hwlister". I am using config files which are in the conf/hwlister directory. Not to miss any necessary module I do an allmodules build with ./build --allmodules. I have also put; param haltonerror false in build.conf NO_SESSION=/bin/sh in thinstation.conf.buildtime The files that I use are; syslinux.efi - from boot-images/pxe/boot/efi64 ldlinux.e64 - from boot-images/pxe/boot/efi64 default - tftp not http vmlinuz - from boot-images/pxe/boot initrd - from boot-images/pxe/boot Copied build.conf.example to tftp root as thinstation.conf.network I am also monitoring LTSP server with journalctl, I can see all these files sent to the client except thinstation.conf.network. Can anyone help me to get the thinclient running? You could rebuild the image without ipv6 support at all. I don't remember seeing a /build.log so looked at my development environment and found a /build.log in the chroot environment. It was empty. I did a build and it was still empty. I build with ./build --savedir 2>&1 | tee my-build.logand so don't miss it. For those with non unix background reading this, the "2>&1 | tee my-build.log" puts everything you see in the terminal session to the file my-build.log. It would be nice to have a list of the packages and machines in the image. My change control and my memory aren't as good as they use to be :-) and from time to time I look at an image wonder what exactly I did (as opposed to what I wanted to do). I saw this parameter some time ago and now and then have looked for the file but can live without it. That might be broken/never completely implemented. It's possible though.
