Thanks for helping me out so much Miles, However, I am still having the same problem, even when I attempt to connect to two different X servers... my new setup is for thinstation.conf.network ------------------------------- SESSION_0_TITLE="X-Terminal" SESSION_0_TYPE=x SESSION_0_SCREEN=0 SESSION_0_X_SERVER=linxus7 SESSION_0_X_OPTIONS="-query" SESSION_0_AUTOSTART=On SESSION_1_TITLE="X-Terminal2" SESSION_1_TYPE=x SESSION_1_SCREEN=1 SESSION_1_X_SERVER=linxus SESSION_1_X_OPTIONS="-query" SESSION_1_AUTOSTART=On ------------------------------- linxus7 and linxus are two mandrake servers allow X-term connections (tested) however, when I launch up the thinstation client (booting of pxe) I only get the second sesssion connecting so I have a connection on (Ctrl-Alt-F4) and just a blank screen on (Ctrl-Alt-F3) checking the errors on the main screen (Ctrl-Alt-F1) I get: Welcome to Linux 2.0 Driver Vesa /etc/init.d/x: 227 can't autodetect your video card!!! do you have one ;) not found XSERVER Variable is not defined, error!!!! X aborted starting shell instead Do you think its possible this is a bug in thinstation 2.0? and I should try the beta? I don't really want to have a second session, as a xterm I really want the second session to be dedicated to rdesktop, but since rdesktop launches an x client on the thinstation client I get the same effect as described above.. I am also curious about Menus, I have been reading the mailing list and people have been talking about menus to select the session, I haven't seen anything like this or really know what it is, but sounds intriguing... Cory P.S Taking any and all Suggestions.. ---------------------------------------- This mail sent through www.mywaterloo.ca |
