I completely agree that the docs needs a LOT of additions. The
thinstation docs has been around for about ~two weeks, so it is early
versions so far.
I would LOVE to get info submitted especially about successful solutions!
I have just returned from a night in a bar (it is 2+ am here, which may
excuse spelling errors :-) with a computer friend. We agreed the best
way to promote Thinstation would be to hack slashdot and plant a fake
but honest editorial on its frontpage :-)
Ok, jokes aside - plz submit questions WITH solution.
Running Thinstation is NOT that simple. You DO need to know about DHCP
and TFTP servers - windows or linux. You DO need to know about
Etherboot/PXE etc. We can't make it any easier. To the best of my
knowledge both the DHCP and the TFTP server must be on the local subnet
ruling out a WAN-only solution. However if you do know just a little
about networking, you should be ok. More and better docs will help!
I do agree that a prebuild ICA solution would be great if "we" (aka
Miles :-) can solve the EULA display problem. This would attract a lot
of customers.
