5.1 unstable/latest is on the master branch. You don't need a -b option. Also, I think I've figured out the problem. cups split into multiple packages between 1.5 in TS5 and 1.7 in TS6. In TS6 the cups-filters (1.0.45) port needs to be added which looks like it contains what you need.
