Hi,

As I could read in this post the USB redirection is not available in the View Client released in the Ubuntu distros but is available on certified vendors commercial ThinClients ie HP, Wyse etc.

Is that situation been changed? If not, is there a way to include the Thinstation support only in hardware specific thin clients like HP, Wyse, etc? It seems that the vmware view software is the same only with the vmware-view-usb componet missing.

USB redirect doesn't appear to be part of the public versions of VMware View Client  (vmviewpcoip) or older VMware View Open Client (vmware) until version 1.7.0.0 of VMware View Client. TS5.1 isn't configured for it though.
