Yes, we have that enabled on both kernels, but that should be added to the gma500 module, so if it omitted from the build, then GMA3600 support should also be dropped. Everything should then fallback to uvesafb. ________________________________ From: John Friend <ce...@li...> To: "thi...@li..." <thi...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2013 7:17 AM Subject: Re: [Thinstation-general] gma 3650 gpu and 1440x900 resolution Don, do we have DRM_GMA3600 parameter enabled in current kernel ? This may be the problem. see. http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/DRM_GMA3600.html ________________________________ Date: Sun, 21 Apr 2013 08:49:52 -0700 From: don...@ya... To: thi...@li... Subject: Re: [Thinstation-general] gma 3650 gpu and 1440x900 resolution In theory, you should be able to omit the gma500 modesetting driver and set the resolution with uvesafb via the bootresolution directive in build.conf. You would then only include the xorg7-fbdev x package, and you should be good to go. ________________________________ From: alex_k <pla...@gm...> To: thi...@li... Sent: Sunday, April 21, 2013 1:57 AM Subject: [Thinstation-general] gma 3650 gpu and 1440x900 resolution Hello everyone. I have a problem here and i try to solve it with no luck. I have 30 machines with gma 3650 gpu, and i have to change the default resolution to 1440x900 because the monitors are 22' and the users required this resolution. (they want these clients only for rdesktop). In module.list i found a gma500 module but the image plays only with vesa driver which i cant configure to play 16:9 or 16:10. I download the gma500 driver from intel's site but i dont know what package and how to import it in thinstation build to test it. Is there is another way to just change resolution to this gpu with another driver? (they haven't special requirments from this gpu) As you can see i'm newbie to linux, but thinstation give me motive to learn.
