Hi Don, struggling with your new parameter i have a suggestion. If you put some bigger package into youre build. for example firefox the filesize of the lib.squash is getting too big for the busybox based tftp client. He cannot dynamically adjust the blocksize option. pxelinux work fine with it. btw: 53 seconds to boot on a atom based client with firefox7 on it without threefile. and 42 seconds for thirdfile booting. nice improvement. all times are measured from pressing the power button, getting dhcp and files via tftp on a 100mbit network. you have to change the following line in the /etc/threefile script: tftp -g -l lib.squash -r lib.squash -b 8192 $SERVER_IP or replace the tftp client or compile something different. didn't remember exactly but the automatic handling could be supported via a configure option to busybox. like justin i boot normally via gpxe from a http server. its great on modern nic's, but old cards suck. greets tobias Am 11.10.11 07:42, schrieb Don Cupp: > Well have I got just the thing for you. > > Get the latest git and try "param threefile true" today.
