That narrowed down the issue. Turns out that the ATI cards we are using is not compatible. The ATI driver locked up the Thinstation and the ATI-PROP and Radeon drivers could not detect the video card. Pulling out the video card and using the onboard video with the z-xorg-intel driver worked fine. The HP Thinclients have a VIA video card and the GX270's have an Nvidia. Subject: Re: [Thinstation-general] VNC connection reset I would suggest that it's probably the z-xorg-intel driver. This is an xorg 7.1 driver that tells xorg 6 to ignore incompatabilities. You could try different colour depths or use SSH instead for these terminals. TreorB |
