To all, In my experience the sound redirection (in an X session) will fail is multiple pc's logon simultaniously when using the same user account but from different machines. I have accounts set up per machine (pc01, pc02,etc) rather then per user in our primary school. When an X session is started the terminal server shows a logon screen with all the usernames. The pupils must now choose the username. The computers have numbers on them but the pupils sometimes click randomly. They end up having no sound and some software doesn't work properly. I'd rather pass the username from the thinstation .conf file based on mac adress. This way pc01 will allways logon as user "pc01" automatically. I have searched the net but I can't find examples on how to query an X server and passing the username / passwd and logon automatically. Is this possible? What syntax would I use in the ts_macaddr.conf ? Passing a username and password to rdp works great btw. Thanks, GC |
