I bult the thinclient, everything seems okay there. I'm trying to do a diskless workstation boot using PXE so I've copied the PXE files to the tftp root directory My diskless workstation starts an impressive boot session. The splash screen come up but then unfortunately It all crashes with the statement ...........stuff....and then >crond - crond[650] crond 2.5.2 dillon started, log level 0 >syslogd - nfs - pkg filesystem_network - profile_setup - bootmenu - >session - >Error, no valid session type!!! >Boot aborted please check your thinstation config files are correct >The system is gong down NOW !! The file thinclient.network, is present. Just to make sure I put the same file as "thinstation.conf" in the tftp root directory ( /tftpboot/thinclient ) tftp is working at far as vmlinuz is concerned and initrd The configuration file is adapted from someone on the net, in any event no other versions I've tried seem to work either. I tried ThinStation 2.2 and 2.0 and both do the same Any suggestions out there? Below is the thinclient.conf file but I don't think this is the trouble..... but you can never be sure I spose. ################################################# # --- Thinstation configuration file --- # ################################################# # # This file must be named "thinstation.conf<xxx>" where <xxx> can be: # .buildtime Defines the defaults build into the image (note the leading .) # .network Default config file loaded from the TFTP server. # .user Config file on local storage. # -<name> Specific config file on the TFTP server for the terminal # "name" (e.g. thinstation.conf-paul).
