I again installed sound-esd with 2.11 and tried to route rdesktop sound through esd. Here are the results: - chipmunk sound in rdesktop as usual while esd not running - when I start esd in the console window, it gives me those fancy welcome sounds and says "48 khz 16 bit available". After this the sound in rdesktop is off (muted?). The apps in my rdesktop window reveal that sounds are now played back very slowly (but you do hear nothing anyway). I believed that esd would resample sounds to fit my dsp's rate - isn't that right? I believed that rdesktop is able to use esd - is that true with the ts-o-matic version? Do I have to un-mute esd sound anyhow? There are no other tools like esddsp or esdplay in my /bin directory. Eric |
