With loadlin it is fairly simple (I never tried syslinux): I just boot of= =20 a floppy with CD drivers and copy the files from the CD to the HD. The=20 original boot floppy from Windows 98 is perfect, as it has drivers for any= =20 CD-ROM. But you are right - some improvent of TS to update/install on local media= =20 is needed.
