I store all my pxe stuff in sub-directories under the tftpboot directory (eg. /tftpboot/ts2.1). If I do a build with BASEPATH 2.1 it works OK, but with '.' it finds vmlinuz & initrd but doesn't find the thinstation.conf.network (but does if I put one in /tftpboot). So the '.' indicates the tftp root directory (I guess we could look at '.' for wherever it found vmlinuz & '/' for tftp root directory .....). I hadn't looked at the init scripts, but I guess I just might need to now.
