hi trevor, not sure if your directing this to me or Osvaldo. In any case, I think your correct, . should work. -----Original Message----- From: Trevor Batley [mailto:tr...@ba...] Sent: Wednesday, 29 December 2004 02:42 p.m. To: Miles Roper Cc: 'Osvaldo Marques Junior'; Thinstation developer Subject: RE: [Thinstation-developer] Minor patches to telnetd and BASEPATH On Wed, 2004-12-29 at 10:39, Miles Roper wrote: > included part2&3 and parts of 1, but not the BASEPATH patch. Are you using pxe or just getting the conf files? You can also read different initrd's and conf's via the pxelinux.cfg/default (and even seperate pxelinux.cfg/<files> if using pxe). Same syntax as syslinux.cfg. For testing I have 4 items defined <<pxelinux.cfg/default>> default linux prompt 1 timeout 10 label linux kernel vmlinuz append initrd=initrd root=dev/rd/0 ramdisk_size=65536 spalsh=silent vga=791 label firefox kernel vmlinuz append initrd=initrd.firefox root=dev/rd/0 spalsh=silent vga=791 label test kernel vmlinuz.test append initrd=initrd.test root=dev/rd/0 spalsh=silent vga=791 label suse kernel linux.suse append initrd=initrd.suse root=dev/rd0 spalsh=silent vga=791 <</default>> I must admit that I would like some other way of handling the BASEPATH (I personally liked the old style where it took it from wherever it found the vmlinuz - can't '.' mimic that behaviour????). That way I manipulate everything at the server, not on the client. Trevor B > - a little correction in the assembly of "/etc/xinetd.d/telnet".
