Once one pays the install cost for JDIC, it's actually
pretty handy. Especially for a long-running but seldom
used app like a blogger.
The attached patch against 1.0 adds support for JDIC
SystemTray but only makes the user pay the cost if they
start up with -Djdic.tray=true.
Clearly there are other ways of implementing this, and
I'll leave that as an exercise for the releaese
engineers. My theory is you get a lot more traction
with a feature request if it comes in the form of a patch.
