natd not starting?

Don't know if this was by intention.
I installed theWall tonight. After troubleshooting
NICs, the installation worked like a charm, but for
some reason natd isn't configured to start even if
natd_enable is set to YES in rc.conf. I had to add a
few lines of script to rc.network to get natd to start
on boot.
Also, my natd.conf file was empty upon arrival. I had
to find a sample file off the net and hand-type it in
in order to get natd working properly.

An empty natd.conf *should* be ok. natd.conf is primarily
used to map incoming requests to NAT'ed hosts behind the
firewall. When dhcp is used for IP address assignment of
the outside interface natd is started by dhclient-exit-
hooks. What type of address assignment are you using ?
Which version of theWall ? Tell me more please. (An email
address would be helpful.)
