Dear Sir,

I downloaded Userman app and started testing. I was really happy with it's functionality but in the meantime I upgraded the Mikrotik RouterOS from 6.44.3 to 6.45.1 and I realized the application is no longer logging to Mikrotik. The app is displaying the error (see attachement) and Mikrotik console displays the following message:

echo: system, error, critical login failure for user <username> from <router.ip.address> via api</router.ip.address></username>

After downgrading RouterOS to 6.44.3, the application works back well and can login to Mikrotik without any issues. Could you please advise if there's any 'trick' in Mikrotik configuration to allow the app working with newer RouterOS version or the application has to be updated.

Thanks
Maciej

I did some more digging and it looks like the reported issue is related to the new API Initial Login method that was implemented in the RouterOS versions post-6.43. It seems the old method that wasused before was still available in RouterOS post 6.43 versions in parallel to the newly implemented method but then the old method was deprecated in RouterOS versions post 6.45.1 and is no longer supported. I guess Userman app is using the old API Initial Login method and therefore it's no longer working with RouterOS 6.45.1

    Thanks
    Maciej
