[TeXstudio-list] TeXstudio 2.8.8 does not open on Mac 10.6.8

Hi,

I am currently using TeXstudio 2.6.2 on my Mac 10.6.8 and it works fine. I
thought of upgrading to TeXstudio 2.8.8. On the website, it is mentioned
that TeXstudio 2.8.8 works for Mac 10.6+. After downloading it, when I
tried to open it, I got the following message. Please let me know how I can
fix this.

texstudio cannot be opened because of a problem.

Check with the developer to make sure texstudio works with this version of
Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any
available updates for the application and Mac OS X.
