#988 [CTRL+F] Disable editor scroll to first match when using find

Sometimes I just want to check if I repeated a word too many times (in the near vicinity of my cursor) and I use the CTRL+F shortcut to search for that word. The highlighted words give me a quick overview of the repetitions.

However, the editor scrolls by default to the first match and also repositions the cursor. Now, this can be very disfunctional if I already used the word, but e.g. at the beginning of the document. I will have to scroll back to the point I stopped writing and reposition the cursor there.

Is there any available workaround to avoid this behaviour?

agree! Proposal: Another button in the search/replace panel do (de-)activate auto-scroll?
