Now that TeXStudio has the lovely integrated preview, it is very easy to run out of space to have open tabs in. The tabs appear above the editor window which is about half its old width now the the integrated preview is available. (The attached picture shows what I mean)
I have two ideas for a possible solution (not mutually exclusive):
1) Shorten the names of the open tabs. This probably needs a setting to tune it behaviour but basically just shorten the name of the tab (currently these are the full filename). perhaps add a "..." at the end of the name. '
2) Allow multiple rows of tabs.
Both of these solutions are quite common in most tab based browsers.

Note the left/right arrows at the right of the tab bar. This is a standard way of handling the space problem.
You can also right-click on the tab bar to get a menu of all open files.
I would (still) appreciate that as well...

It would be nice if the open tabs list can be placed on the left or right side of the text editor panel. Each line is a tab, and a vertical list can show many files at the same time. Plus most monitors nowadays have wide screens, so the tabs won't take over any vertical space which can be used for showing actual texts.
I guess issues nowadays would get more attention if reported on GitHub.
