#1160 Browsing directories from within (a pane in) Texstudio

Thanks a lot for your efforts.
I am looking for an ability to browse the current directoriy (or other directories) from within a pane in Texstudio with the possibility to filter files by extension or another criteria, and to set some of them as favorite, ...

The intention is quite unclear to me:

• what do you mean by 'set some of them as favorite'?
• what is 'filter by another criteria'?
• What is the ultimate goal that you want to achieve?
