Is it possible to have support for Perforce from within TexStudio ? I know SVN is supported but we are using Perforce. Could this be done by some scripting or macro development ?

There's no intention to add builtin support for Perforce. The user base is too small. We don't even have time to add git support, which would really make sense.
Concerning scrpting, this might be possible but I don't know the details of Perforce. As an example, see here for controlling git via scripting:
