Hi!
Whenever I start TeXstudio, I get this error:
"Uncaught exception at line 18: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: editor\n\nBacktrace <global>() at 18"
After confirming the errorbox, TeXstudio works flawlessly.
My system:
Linux Mint 18, Cinnamon Edition
TeXstudio 2.10.8 (hg 5802:5ee1d048e556)
Using Qt Version 5.5.1, compiled with Qt 5.5.1 R
The same happened with Linux Mint 17.3.
If you need more information, please tell me how I can help.
Stephan
2.10.8 is an obsolete version. Install a newer one.
Hi Jan,
Thank you for your answer.
Can you please tell me in which version this bug was fixed? I cannot find it in any bug report nor in the CHANGELOG.txt of the latest version, but I might have missed it.
Thanks.
The list of fixed bugs in CHANGELOG.txt is not necessarily complete. Also there may be other changes that fixed this as a side-effect.
I don't know if Jan has a specific fix in mind. But anyway, we generally do not look into bugs from outdated versions of TeXstudio. We do not want to (and don't have the time) to track down bugs in historic code. Therefore a bug is only relevant, if it can be reproduced with the most recent official release.
