Hello,
i just installed http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jsundermeyer/xUbuntu_14.04/i386/texstudio_2.10.2-22.1_i386.deb on my Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and i have no menu bar !

That seems to be a qt 5 bug.

Try a version based on qt 4: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jsundermeyer/xUbuntu_14.04/i386/texstudio-qt4_2.10.4_i386.deb
