Since I installed 2.9.4, several times i've put my laptop to sleep, and when i wake it up Texstudio is closed, while every other program is still open. It however does not happen everytime. My OS is WIndows7.
If it's not reproducible, there's little we can do.
You may provide additional information if it happens again:
Does it terminate regularly or does it crash? If TXS has crashed, there will be a file texstudio_backtrace<number>.txt in your %TEMP% directory. If so, please upload it here.
If TXS terminates regularly, it writes its settings to texstudio.ini (sourceforge.net). Check the modification date of that file to find out if termination occured when going to standby or when waking up.

I can report the same issue with Texstudio 2.9.4 on Windows 10. However, there is no backtrace in %temp% and texstudio.ini was last modified a week ago.

The problem seems to be fixed; at the least I could not reproduce it. I won't test for longer as the snapshot hangs on opening my tex-file. Will report back on the release of the next version!

there should be no hang.
Is it reproducible ? Can you provide an minimal example ?
(Or if you already have compiled it yourself can you pin-point the error in the c++ source with a debugger ?)

Sorry, I already deinstalled the snapshot and have no time to test (five more days until I hand in my thesis :)). I suspect it may be from installing the snapshot while having another version installed. It froze when opening a large file from the recent file list.
Thank you for your remarkably helpful and fast assistance!

I cannot reproduce the behavior. Since there is no further feedback, I'll mark it as "works for me".
Please report back if it happens again and provide the additional information requested above.

#1360Yes and Yes. Seems like the same bug. I'll try compiling with Qt 5.5 this weekend and see if that fixes it.
We have a recent development snapshort based on Qt 5.5:

Thanks for the feedback. Nothing to worry right now, however, it would be nice if you could check the issue of freezing later on.
Good luck with your thesis.
