I added a macro to my TeXstudio and it worked fine for about three days. But today for some reason TeXstudio startet executing this macro on EVERY keystroke, except for special keys. The backspace and delete keys are also affected. I restarted TeXstudio and it still happens. I pushed every special key in case one was "stuck", but to no avail.

I am using
TeXstudio 2.8.2 (hg 4644+:7d865db99ef5+)
on Win7 Pro SP1, 32bit.

    we would need your texstudio.ini.

Perhaps you have set a trigger for the macro (like a single dot)? Remove that

Hey, the problem was resolved. I had erroneously added the trigger (?language:latex) because it was used in the preset macros. Removing the trigger solved the issue.
Still: Weird enough it took three days with hours of working on my document until this trigger actually did anything.
This was the reason I posted this, as the "error" occured in midsentence and not after changing settings or using keyboard shortcuts.

Weird indeed. I don't have an explanation for that. But unless its some reproducible behavior or at least multiple people observe it, we won't look into this deeper. There's just too much else to do. Anyway, thanks for the report.
