Yes, this is so EXTREMELY ANNOYING. I am considering changing the editor because of this bug, please FIX it!
I am using Windows 10, fully patched (23.12.2020), and TEXnicCenter 2.02 Stable 64 Bit -- and as said: When ever I open a new tex file it incorrectly opens a new instance instead of a new tab.
