I am using TeXnicCenter and like it.
However, I think
there is one crucial feature lacking in this
editor: there
is no automatic backup. Once I had a power cut
when
using this editor and almost lost the document that
I
was working on. I would like to know if you can
add
automatic backup in the later version of
TeXnicCenter.
Thank you very much.

The current backup solution is not sufficient. We need the
possibility to create a backup file "filename.bak" before saving
"filename.tex".
This backup file should not be overwritten,
if it is younger than n minutes. This way, the user has a real backup of
the file.

We *may* also allow the user to specify a path for saving this file. I think,
these backup files could annoy some people. Well, at least I could be
annoyed by them.
The *full* path should be definable using
placeholders.
"%dc\backup\%nc.bak" should be the
default.
This gets "C:\dir\backup\foo.tex.bak" for
"C:\dir\foo.tex".
Forgot to say: All these options should be
placed into the options dialog extending the current file-tab.
