#168 Broken colour handling in TeXMaths 5.0
In version 5.0 and LibreOffice 7.5 on Ubuntu 20.04, it is no longer possible to change the colour of the equations. Instead, a sort of frame is created around the equation with the chosen colour. Is this change on purpose? See the enclosed images for the difference between TeXMaths 4.9 (coloured red) and the new TeXMaths 5.0 (intented to be coloured green).

Hi, thanks for the bug report. The problem you report is a side effect of a regression introduced in LibreOffice 7.5.x (see https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154827) and we have to wait (and hope!) the LO dev team will fix the issue.
However, you can still get colored equations in TexMaths by using the preamble (see the LaTeX preamble paragraph here http://roland65.free.fr/texmaths/docs.html).
Thank you for the explanation and info, Roland. Then for now I think I'll either downgrade LibreOffice, or keep TeXMaths 4.9. The old functionality is also very convenient to change the colour of individual glyphs, by entering the TeXMaths-object group, without having to change the TeX code. I hope the LO dev team will fix the issue soon!

Hi Roland, I'm following the other bug on LO. Just wanted to make clear: TeXMaths 4.9 does work correctly with LO 7.5.2, with respect to the colouring issue. I see the problem when I update to TM 5.0, and the problem disappears when I revert to TM 4.9 (I fully restart and test on a new document every time).
Yes, I know the situation. The LO dev team has started to work on the bug that leads to this regression in TexMaths. If they fix it, the issue will disappear.
The LO team didn't fix the issue yet, but I have found a workaround, so the new 0.51.1 has the fix and you can change equation color as you used to. Remember to set transparency on.
So I close this bug now.
I confirm that LO 7.5.3.2 and TeXMaths 0.51.1 work perfectly regarding colour :)
