Hello, First I want to thank you all for such a great plugin! It is the only editor I recommend for all the people that I teach LaTeX.

Getting inverse search to work for PDFlatex would be a tremendous feature for new LaTeXers that have no knowledge of DVI (PDF being the standard for LaTeX education), as well as to get the old guard to move from DVI to PDF.

I have noticed that there is very little support for SyncTeX on the viewer's side and it seems that most of that is due to the need for interaction between the editor and the viewer. One project that succeeds in this is TeXWorks which includes a view as part of the software. Unfortunately TeXworks is a stripped down editor with very little of what I like in TeXlipse. It makes me think however that if TeXlipse had a viewer built in (As a tab next to the .tex file for example) then SyncTeX could be implemented within the plugin itself. It seems that to do this there would need to be a free and open source Java-based viewer to include in the plugin and I think I have found one in pdf-renderer https://pdf-renderer.dev.java.net/

Perhaps this could be a future feature? I would love to help but I know very little programming. If no one is interested in attempting this, however, I will attempt to give it a go; it may be slow as I would have to learn as I go.

Thanks again.

There are 2 eclipse plugins which possible can be integrated in texlipse.
    1.) JPedal eclipse plugin (http://www.jpedal.org/support_siEclipse.php)
    2.) PDF Viewer (http://wiki.nightlabs.de/en/PDF_Viewer) LGPL

This feature is now available in a separate project: Pdf4Eclipse (http://borisvl.github.com/Pdf4Eclipse).
