Tetra 2 beta is out!

Finally, after a long stale summer, I am releasing Tetra 2. It's not totally finished yet (never will be), but it's completely functional. Also thrown in is the early version of the yet-to-be-announced Tetra Wiki. I will try to make more frequent updates.

Also, since Tetra has changed quite a lot since the last time I loaded up a release I'll be keeping the other old around (for posterity if nothing else). - dx <><

Tetra 2 - Getting better everyday

Tetra 2 has been out for some time, but I've made many big changes to it the last couple of weeks. The biggest of which is the move to search engine friendly URLs. This makes URLs look much, much cleaner than ever before. Some recent module additions are: a blog extension for the message board and an RSS reader. I will be rewriting the setup stuff soon and thus putting the seal on Tetra for a while. As always, you can see the updates at http://www.dxprog.com - dxprog <><

On the brink of release

Tetra 2 is almost complete with just a little bit of fine tuning yet to be done. Unlike previously stated, Tetra 2 will only come in one flavor. Some of the mentioned modules have yet to be written but the biggies are more or less done. If you want to keep up with the Tetra as its being developed, visit its homepage at: http://www.dxprog.com/Tetra

Tetra 2 news

Tetra 2 is fast becoming a reality. The messageboard module is all but finished and I'm reworking the user module and some core Tetra features.

I've also decided to release Tetra in two flavors: Public and Personal Tracker.

The public version is what Tetra has always been: a CMS for public websites with forums, documents, etc.

The personal version will incorporate some interesting extras: e-mail checking, view RSS feeds (some preset feeds will allow for weather, stock quotes, etc.), picture manager, and blog.... read more

Beta preview out!

I finally managed to scrounge up some time to upload all my current work :-)! You can view the page at http://tetraweb.sourceforge.net/. I have a test account which you can use to test stuff.
Username: test
Password: test

When you login click any of the message board links to get to the message board (they don't actually go where they say they do :-P).

If you have any suggestions or problems please let me know.

Version 1 coming...

I am currently pounding away at the keyboard to bring Tetra closer to that number 1 version. Things are progressing quite nicely and I expect that this release should be finished by the end of the year, end of January at the very latest. After that I will begin hard core development of modules including bringing the message board module up to speed and also bringing the picture module online.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Still alive

Despite the lack of activity on this page, Tetra is still in full development. In fact, within the next few weeks I'll be releasing a new major module to handle pictures.

Also, Tetra is now accepting donations because it's getting more and more difficult to develop on the computer I am currently using (it's old, what can I say). Also, I plan on buying database software to create new some new database modules.... read more

Website and new release

Within the next week or two I'll be releasing the next version of Tetra (0.99a, more on that in a sec) and I'll also try to get the website up.

As for the versioning, I'm backing things down to pre-version 1 since not all the features are implmented yet (i.e. module and theme installing).

Tetra 1.0a released

This release fixes all known bugs since version 1.0 beta. It also introduces the site setup wizard which is displayed the first time the site is visited. Plans for the next release are:
Navigation Module
Module Installer
Theme Installer
Stay tuned.
