Being thrown to the floor when shot wouldn't be Quake, the
gameplay of the original episodes just wouldn't work.
Imagine shooting an Ogre of his platform, or an annoying
Tarbaby down a shaft, sure, it would make things easier, but
it wouldn't be Quake.
If it should be implemented it should be in the final shot
of death, will would admittibly be extremely cool.
Just image firing a rocket in the face of a Vore or a
Shambler and see them fly through the air in a half
somersault, and then slide rough over the floor. Or shooting
a Grunt in the torso and see him fly legs first backwards
and hitting a wall.
Uhhmmm....

hmm, no reason you cant have blended physical simulation as
long as the feet are tacked to the ground (or at least the...
whatsit... Centre of Gravity... so it doesnt go over ledges) as
the CryEngine has... cept you need ragdolling first... and for
that you need skeletal animation... so theres a bit of work to
do before we get there.

GO SHOCK 3 :)
wouldnt it be great to have ragdoll physics on every
character, so that being shot means a trip to the floor.
