i was thinking about that the last few days, and i think a better, more flexible option, better suited to the opensource way, would be to produce a stable environment for developing mods.
just like some1 would make a mod, for say, q3, or hl2, u could make a mod based on a tenebrae2 engine, there just needs to be an easy to use environment for doing so.
so if the engine could be modified just like it would for making a full game, but instead of actually making a game, u just leave very flexible code, so that after a client side user installs a "base", and sets up a file structure that mod files could just be dropped into ontop of the game environment.
this would also mean that each mod could supply its own installer to install both the engine and mod if needed, and so have a stand alone game, or, just the mod files could be provided and dropped into the environments directories.
this could significantly increase development time for such mods, and the only requirement would be to check compatibility with the new engine, ofc, if compatibilty failed with new engine updates, u could just use the old one until the environments code could be adapted to work with the new engine.
i don't have the programming skills to do anything like that, but i think it's a worthy idea, and if in say, a year, when my programming prowess is much better, if nobody has taken up on the idea, i will do so... but for now, bye :)

I was wondering, is there going to be an official Tenebrae2 game that would demonstrate all of the features.
I'm thinking that maybe we should start making a completely new FPS game, based on Tenebrae2, with new models, new textures, new ideas.
Is anybody ineterested in this? or does anybody knwo how this could be done?
