According to http://www.tei-c.org/Activities/Council/Working/tcw20.xml , we should add citations for examples to BIB-Bibliography.xml. However, the Guidelines contains a number of citations in <note> elements in the chapters. Per this thread ( http://lists.village.virginia.edu/pipermail/tei-council/2013/017199.html ), these should be moved to BIB-Bibliography.xml except in cases where they contain simply an ad-hoc URL instead of a full citation.
If we do this, we shoould also update TCW20 so that it makes it clear to use <note> instead of adding sometihng to BIB for cases where there's only a URL.
Council agreed to implement. Syd will clean up the Guidelines, and Kevin will update tcw20.
Guidelines have been cleaned up qua note elements as of rev 12293. However, I notice that there are at least one or two comments that also should be changed to @source and bibliographic entries in BIB.
Kevin, is TCW20 already updated?
We have a separate ticket about comments that are sources: https://sourceforge.net/p/tei/bugs/563/ . There's much work to be done there.
I'll reassign the ticket to me now and close it once I've updated tcw20 (which is next on my list!).
tcw20 has been updated.
Per James's message to tei-council, links have broken. For example:
Go to
http://teijenkins.hcmc.uvic.ca/job/TEIP5-Documentation/ws/Guidelines-web/en/html/SA.html#SA-eg-02
And click on the word 'bibliography' it is a link to:
http://teijenkins.hcmc.uvic.ca/job/TEIP5-Documentation/ws/Guidelines-web/en/html/SA.html#SA-eg-02
i.e. SA.html rather than BIB.html
False alarm: the problem is elsewhere.
