Finally I've found the problem. Extension is version 1.2 online and the documentation refer to version 1.3. I've installed manualy and voila ! option are here in the menu now !

Hi, The menu "Create network sockets" will appear as soon as you'll have specified the capacity of the patchpanel. And as soon as 1 nework socket is attahced to the patch panel, the menu "Create backend network cables" will appear. I know this is a quite old topic, but I'm facing a problem with cable management. In Patch Panel view, in the right menu, there should be 2 options "Create back end network cables" and "Create network sockets". Can you help me on getting those option in my menu.

Hi, I apologize for the delayed response. A couple of thoughts: * Is fping available on your system ? Have you tried to deactivate it ? * You may have a look, in the code, what Windows command is used to ping (or fping) the IP(s) and double check that it provides the correct result (or not) when you launch it "by hand".

Hi, Why not. I've added it (yes, already :-) ) and this will be available in the next revision of the extension. In the mean time, you may retrieve the new files directly from GitHub. In that case, don't forget to run a setup afterwoards.

Hello, The IP discovery itself is done by the IP Discovery Data Collector, a PHP script that runs independantly from TeemIp. You'll find its documentation here. The IP Discovery Application on TeemIp, described here, will "just" configure the collector and collect statistics. Note that you may have different Discovery Applications that will drive different collectors.

Hello, I just commited to GitHub the code that handles different methods to handle a serial increase: * increment by one (default), like before * set unix time * set date appended with 2 digits number Choice is made in the global IP config parameters. This will be included in the next release of the extension.

Hi, I apologize for the delayed answer. The error that you report is actually caused by the fact that TeemIp expects a "status" attribute to be present in the class that is / was hosting the IP that it is being processed. I definitely need to protect the code against such possibility (this should be available in the next TeemIP revision). In the meantime, you may add such attribute to your DHCPOptions class (like what is done on the PhysicalDevice class). Now, this won't alter the default TeemIp...

Hello, A new package of the extension with the latest patches should be released in a month or two, once iTop 3.2 will be released. In the meantime, you may pick the github zip and load it to your TeemIp package through the <teemip>/extension directory. Please, refer to the wiki for that process.</teemip>

Hi, We need to patch the teemip-zone-mgmt extension with last patches about long TXT records reported here: https://github.com/TeemIp/teemip-zone-mgmt/issues/4 I can't find any build-ready package in the teemip download page, so i suppose the git source is the only way to get it. What's the right procedure to upgrade the extension from git? Override datamodels/2.x/teemip-zone-mgmt and run the itop upgrade process? Or using the itop toolkit?

Hi, Has it been possible to check our problem? We have not yet been able to find a solution ourselves. Unfortunately, we currently have an acute problem with the automatism that deletes IPs from your relationships if only one relationship is removed.

Hello, The processes that you have disabled sould be seen as "scavengers": they make sure the IPs have a status in accordance with the defined policy. But disabling them doesn't cancell the basic TeemP rule (defined here in the wiki) that specifies that the status of an IP is automatically changed when IP is attached to a device or removed from it, I assume that the DHCPOptions class that your error refers to is a new class of yours, since the one defined in TeemIp is DHCPOPtion. What does it derive...

Hi, The idea of Aggregate links is to document suche links without having to create individual ones and grouping them together. True that I could add VRFs and VLANs to them. True that there is no generic virtual interface class for physical devices beside the one dedicated to network devices. Do you see a need for such interfaces on physical servers and other physical devices ?

Hello, Actually, creating a cable doesn't update any of the objects it is connecting. The reverse is true: connecting 2 objects doesn't automatically create the corresponding cable. This could be done in at a later stage. However, when device connections are changing, cables may be changes as well.

Hello, I’m testing the new version of teemip-cable-mgmt and created some cables. I noticed that when picking for example the physical interfaces on both ends of a direct network cable doesn’t automatically fill in the interface’s remote physical interfaces fields. That’s why the cable is not graphically displayed in wiring paths. Isn’t this meant to happen or is this planned for the future?

Hello, first of all, thanks to Christophe for these great extensions! I just wonder why AggregateLink is a separate class. In my current understanding a bond (or link aggregation or port channel) is a virtual interface. I’d add the ability to aggregate physical links to the NetworkDeviceVirtualInterface class and drop the AggregateLink class instead. Using NetworkDeviceVirtualInterface would also bring the ability to add VLANs and VRFs to aggregations. As its name says NetworkDeviceVirtualInterface...

Hi, Could you, please, confirm that you are installing TeemIP on a brand new database ? Your error message refers to an existing db named phpipam... If you are trying to update a database that has been created through PHPIPAM software with TeemIP, well, for sure, that won't work :-)

Bind9 and ISC DHCP :-) On the Bind front, the DNS zone extension will generate "static" db.files that you can retrieve from TeemIp though the REST API verbs brought by the extension. The idea is to use TeemIp to build these files from the CMDB and then inject them in Bind server. On the DHCP front, TeemIp can be used to document the different DHCP options used in the ISC DHCP server. Form there, you'll need to use the REST API inteface to get these options and build your dhcpd.conf file . Next step...

Hi, I've never seen that issue... Best option would be to use latest revisions of iTop and TeemIP and to make sure,at the same time,that system prerequisites (like PHP version) are respected.

Hi. I cannot reproduce your issue. I didn't ask at the first place but I guess that you have upgraded your iTop as well. TeemIp 3.1.4 of TeemIp requires iTop 3.1.0+.

Indeed !! Problem is brought by molkobain-datacenter-view extension !! I'll make sure the issue will be corrected in next TeemIp version. In the meantime, what you can do is: edit the file <teemip>/datamodels/2.x/molkobain-datacenter-view/molkobain-datacenter-view/datamodel.molkobain-datacenter-view.xml</teemip> remove lines 263, 264, 265 : <item id="providercontracts_list"> <rank>200</rank> </item> run a setup again. I have modified the teemip-ip-discovery extension: it now adds the status 'discovered' to the status list of class IPObject. What you'd need to do, now, to make it work is: Pick the extension from GitHub master branch Install it on your iTop Change the <ip_default_status> setting in the collector to thevalue 'discovered'</ip_default_status> Then, everything should work as we discussed. I'll welcome your feedbacks, of course :-)

Hi Christophe, I encounter a very nice trouble today, because our VMware sync didn(t work the night before, so i Got a bunch (more than 100…) Background task (TeemIp\TeemIp\Extension\IPManagement\Hook\ReleaseIPsFromObsoleteCIs) I'm currently correcting all these wrong managementip_id suppression, and I also removed the 'Remove IP From obsoleted CI' option from my global IP param (didn't know this parameter) to see if this is better in my setup. Hello, Your model considers that TeemIP manages a unique IP space that can be shared between different organizations. This is not how TeemIP works. By design, TeemIp enables the management of full IPv4 and IPv6 spaces per organizations, implying that such spaces can overlap between oragnizations.
