Thanks James, Looks like there is no easy way out.=20 --Amit -----Original Message----- From: tee...@li... on behalf of James Bigler Sent: Tue 5/15/2007 5:28 AM Cc: tee...@li... Subject: Re: [Teem-users] Creating Colored and Transparent images from = 2d raw data? =20 Not with only teem. Teem doesn't manipulate text (or fonts), which would be required for your legend. Teem could be used to help make the graphical color part of the legend, but no more. ImageMagick's tool set can manipulate fonts and text on images. Have a look at that. It works on most systems. http://www.imagemagick.org/ And for some example usages see: http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/ James Amit Chourasia wrote: > I have another query in this regard. > I find photoshopping text into color ramp a tedious and inaccurate = method to create legend. > Is it possible to create a legend based on a defined colormap like = below using teem? >=20 > Thanks > --Amit >=20 >=20 > -----Original Message----- > From: James Bigler [mailto:bi...@cs...] > Sent: Wed 4/25/2007 2:22 PM > To: Amit Chourasia > Cc: Teem Users > Subject: Re: [Teem-users] Creating Colored and Transparent images from = 2d raw data? > =20 > Just add a component for the alpha channel to your map at the end: >=20 > Pos R G B A >=20 > 0.0 0 0 255 0 > 0.15 0 255 0 20 > 0.2 255 0 0 255 >=20 > James >=20 > Amit Chourasia wrote: >> Greetings, >> >> I am toying with Teem utilities to create color mapped images from 2d >> raw floating point data. >> With Jorik's help I have been able to create images with unevenly = placed >> colors. >> >> I am wondering if its possible to create these images with custom >> transparency, like colors I can define an opacity map for = transparency >> control. >> >> Any pointers appreciated. >> >> Thanks >> --Amit >> >> Here is what I have put together so far >> %unu imap -m map.txt -i data.nrrd |unu quantize -i - -b 8 | unu save = -f >> png -i - -o test.png >> >> %cat map.txt >> 0.0 0 0 255 >> 0.15 0 255 0 >> 0.2 255 0 0 >> >> %unu head data.nrrd >> NRRD0001 >> type: float >> dimension: 2 >> sizes: 3000 1500 >> spacings: 1 1 >> labels: "x" "y" >> endian: little >> encoding: raw >> >> >> = -------------------------------------------------------------------------= >> This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express >> Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take >> control of your XML.
