The functions in a NrrdKernel are all 1-D (they take a single argument). There are kernels for value reconstruction, and for 1st and 2nd derivatives, but its all still 1-D. A Laplacian is combination of different partial derivatives, so there can't be a kernel for it. The gage library knows how to use the different kernels along different axes to measure things like Laplacians and Hessians. Gordon |
